Nutanix , Caesars Entertainment and UNLV have announced the collaboration to enhance Black Fire Innovation a hub where new ideas for the gaming and hospitality sectors are tested and tested, with the aim of accelerating innovation in these areas.

Nutanix Software has partnered with Caesars Entertainment and UNLV to operate the Black Fire Innovation research and technology centre.

Announced in April, Black Fire is a 43,000-square-foot academic incubator that will be located in UNLV’s Harry Reid Research & Technology Park. It features mock hotel rooms, a casino floor and a sports book. It will also feature an Intel presence that, according to Caesars vice president of business innovation and technology strategy John Celona, will “elevate” opportunities for students to learn about visual analytics, bleeding-edge computing capabilities and the internet of things.
