The publication is the official magazine for members of the American Society of Agronomy, Crop Science Society of America, and Soil Science Society of America.
Satish Bhatnagar (Math) is the author of the book My Hindu Faith and Periscope, which was published recently by Trafford Publishing. He also is the author of Epsilons and Deltas of Life: Everyday Stories, Vectors in History: Main Foci; India and USA, and Scattered Matherticles, Mathematical Reflections.

Satish Bhatnagar (Math) spoke about Hinduism as part of the Dixie Forum "Great Faiths" discussions at Dixie State College in St. George, Utah, in October. The Dixie Forum is a lecture series designed to introduce Dixie students and faculty, as well as the St. George community, to diverse ideas and personalities to widen their world view.

John Farley (Physics and Astronomy) served on a panel of a Carbon to Clean Energy Roundtable at the Clark County Commission chambers in June. The Sierra Club and the Nevada Conservation League formed the panel to talk about the future of clean energy in Nevada and how it can help the economy.
