Lou Harrison’s Violin Concerto was completed in 1959 and uses an orchestra of unique percussion instruments as accompaniment. The concerto is a celebrated work and recognized as one of the defining 20th century works by this prominent composer. These answers will be given in the lecture followed immediately by a performance of the work; separate admission fee.
The lecture is free and open to the public.
Tickets are required to attend the performance portion on April 14. Ticket prices are $10 for general admission and $8 for seniors, military, UNLV faculty & staff and, students.
