Meet the Filmmakers of "Smashed"

The UNLV Department of Film and Cinfemmes - UNLV's women in film group -  welcomes filmmaker James Ponsoldt and screenwriter Susan Burke of critically acclaimed Sundance hit, "Smashed", to campus.

"Smashed" was recently picked up by Sony Pictures Classics and stars Mary Elizabeth Winstead (Scott Pilgrim vs. The World), Emmy Award® winner Aaron Paul (Breaking Bad), Academy Award® winner Octavia Spencer (The Help), Nick Offerman (Parks & Recreation), Emmy Award® winner Megan Mullally (Will & Grace) and Emmy Award® winner Mary Kay Place (Big Love; Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman).  Ponsoldt and Burke will speak about their new movie and receive "Cinefemme of the Year" awards for supporting women in film.

There will be a reception prior to the event at 5:30 p.m. in front of CBC - A Room 106

Admission Information: 

Admission is free. Seating is on a first come first served basis.
