A complete hour of drum set pieces that the great jazz drummer Max Roach performed and recorded. Mateo Hurtado De Mendoza in his Doctor of Musical Arts recital will perform his research of these pieces, some of them taken from Max Roach live performances, some from his recordings. The versions and pieces that Hurtado De Mendoza are bringing to this performance come from 1965 to 1994 Max Roach concerts and recordings.
