About Hosting
Hosting includes official events of any size sponsored by a department on behalf of employees, students, or guests.
Expenditures can include:
- Meals
- Beverages
- Gifts excluding gift cards (generally less than $75)
Expenditures must:
- Provide a benefit to UNLV through the establishment of goodwill
- Promote programs
- Create opportunities for meetings in which the mission of UNLV may be advanced.
Authorization Required
Signature authority for these accounts may not be delegated below the level of vice president, dean, or the Director of Intercollegiate Athletics.
Account Restrictions
Host expenditures may not be used to pay or reimburse expenses not allowed by state regulations.
